Recap: Microplastics – TEDx Vienna 2019

When non-scientists or specialist in other fields come into contact with research and innovation especially in chemical environment, it is often difficult for them to understand what exactly the scientists want to achieve with their approaches and what the impact is for “you and me”. But, sometimes, it is quite clear.

Katrin Schuhen’s vision is to clean water from microplastics and micropollutants. It develops solutions that can be used both in sewage treatment plants and in industry to filter these pollutants out of the water and thus prevent them from getting into the environment and ultimately into our bodies.
